With low stock levels, there is no doubt that selling a property in the current market is still viable. Properties are still selling and low stock levels mean selling methods that are flexible in their approach to the current restricted methods of selling do work.

My 30 years in the industry has taught me how to manage to sell properties by thinking outside the square and ensuring that the right method of selling is applied, and this doesn't mean just continuing with auctions or a standard private sale.
It is important to remember that when there are fewer properties to choose from Buyers have to compete harder for one they like. It is also important to note that at this point in time there have never been fewer properties for sale in the Inner Eastern suburbs. As a result of this Buyers are becoming more and more frustrated from a lack of quality listings. That frustration is what drives low stock level markets and needs to be guided by an experienced agent who has strong negotiating skills.
With this shortage of stock, record low-interest rates, and buyers looking to establish themselves in a quality location close to private schools, transport, and amongst quality homes there is still the opportunity to sell. Think back 30 years ago and the circumstances that prevailed in 1991 with property prices dropping weekly, an inability to be able to finance with interest rates at a level of 13.5%, Mortgagee sales happening weekly, and a totally depressed market. No internet to promote properties all over the world and no mobile phones to be able to reach out to prospective buyers en-masse or even email. Those conditions were much harder than they are today.
