Having tried to sell our free-standing house in Paddington twice before in recent years yet never getting the price we wanted, it was with trepidation that we decided to put it on the market again. So I decided to try a new agent who had come recommended to us. From Day 1, Robert Stein-Rostaing showed us how we could maximise the value of our property with as little expenditure as possible – which was part of my brief to him. I can absolutely say that he went above and beyond the call of duty, interviewing 8 stylists in 2 days to get us the best look for the lowest price. He even personally rented a power-hose to clean all the property’s external areas (which took him an entire Sunday)! Throughout the campaign he used innovative marketing strategies, such as getting testimonials from our neighbours that said how happy they were to be living on our street and addressing the very key issue of (no) street parking. He even created a video showcase for the property (for free) and he did an outstanding job at the open house inspections. Robert continually provided us with timely feedback on the potential buyers so we were confident that he was chasing every lead possible. He also gave us weekly vendor reports and statistical analysis of the internet campaign. In the end, he made the decision of pulling our property from the auction before it started with the knowledge we would not get the price we wanted, knowing exactly where the buyers and the market were at. Within the week following the auction he worked with several buyers to get them to our price point. Indeed he exceeded that expectation in the final days of negotiation and ensured a fast settlement. After so much time and money spent on previous campaigns, we could not be happier with this result and am delighted to be able to provide our recommendation for Robert. We were initially attracted to the LJ Hooker brand name as we knew they have a good reputation and good market share in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. We met with the principal, Rob Paridis and Robert Stein-Rostaing and they offered a level of service that made us very comfortable and this was demonstrated by “how” the sales marketing campaign would be conducted.
