It all began in 1988 in a small office in Paddington, Sydney, where John McGrath developed a real estate philosophy based on integrity and transparency, and a process to deliver outstanding results for clients.
McGrath has grown to be one of Australia's most successful residential real estate groups. The McGrath network currently has 98 offices throughout the East Coast of Australia. It has an established market presence in NSW, QLD and the ACT, and has now expanded into Victoria.
An integrated real estate services business, McGrath operates five business units providing residential property sales, property management, mortgage broking, auction services and career training.
McGrath Marketing Advantage
McGrath Estate Agents Database is the largest central buyer database of any agency in Australia. This is because we have a central ownership structure (unlike a franchise model which are all ‘individual’ businesses).
Our magazine is weekly and distributed hard copy to the domestic Sydney region. We also have an electronic version which has over 400,000 subscribers.
Social Media Division
This division markets our properties to relevant buyers through social media. On average we are currently achieving an extra 38,000 impressions per property within a normal marketing campaign. This is a unique as it attracts buyers who may not have been ‘actively’ searching for a property within a location.
McGrath uniquely has its own China Desk which operates across the entire McGrath network. This division independently markets your property through their own channels both abroad and to the local Chinese community. They also operate as a full concierge service in terms of bringing suitable clients to your property and handling negotiations for those buyers. Since 2012 this team have been responsible for the sale of over $300m of our properties within the group.
We truly operate as one team across the network this is primarily because of our central ownership structure instead of being competing franchise businesses. We often have buyer referrals throughout the group which creates more demand for our properties. We pay referral fees internally from the one selling fee. This creates much more service as compared to working with just one agent.
