Fidden Realty is a family owned Real Estate Agency based on the Northern end of the Gold Coast.
The Fidden name has been in Real Estate for over 30 years, starting up in Bundaberg as John Fidden Real Estate. Jon and Robyn both started their Real Estate Careers in Bundaberg after moving up there from the Gold Coast and working in the family agency.
After a few years they headed back to the Gold Coast which they love so much. They interviewed various franchise agencies and chose one which they thought had the same core ethics as they did, but it turned out that it didn’t. They then went to another franchise group, hoping to find that core belief that if you look after your clients, treat them well, treat them with respect and have their best interest at heart at all times, then your business will grow….. simply by doing the right thing by your clients. Again that’s not what they found.
What they found, and they’ve worked for some of the biggest on the Gold Coast, is that it has nothing to do with your clients, their needs or wants…… it’s all about numbers. How many people did you speak to today, how many business cards did you hand out, how many people have you signed up, how many “price adjustment” meetings have you had today (“price adjustment” meetings are where you meet with the owner of a property you have listed and pressure them to reduce the price they want to sell for)…….. It’s all about the agent, it’s all about the number and it’s all about how much commission the agent and the agency can get……. And it doesn’t matter at who’s expense, as long as it’s not theirs.
Having learnt firsthand from John & Dianne Fidden – Jon’s Parents – that it’s how you treat people that gives you longevity in this business, that provides you with a constant source of referrals and allows the numbers to take care of themselves, it just didn’t make sense to Jon & Robyn to stay in the franchise model of numbers number numbers. So in early 2014 they stepped out and started Fidden Realty.
Fidden Realty doesn’t boast about being the biggest, nor do they want to be. They are very proud of the fact that they deal with their clients on a personal level and never treat them as a number.
They still have all the benefits of a large franchises, including a well maintained database of clients and prospective buyers or tenants, but when you deal with Fidden Realty you are dealing with a family owned business that puts their clients first. What you get is personalized service and over 50 years combined experience in Sales, Marketing & Business Management, the majority of which has been in the housing industry and in Real Estate.

Robyn has over 25 years Marketing experience which comes across straight away. Regardless of whether it is a property for sale or a property for rent, the same amount of effort is put into the marketing.
The script is written to make sure that it has an emotional pull to it, which is a big part of why we get the results we get. Emotional buyers will pay more - every day, every time.
All major portals are used, the property is staged by Robyn prior to photos because she knows what the buyers are looking for.
