History of the Business
Geoff and Amy Kaslar established LJ Hooker Thornleigh in 1999, and since then it has grown to become the Number One sales office in its' local area. In early 2012, an expansion plan lead to the acquisition of Beecroft Real Estate and the opening of LJ Hooker Beecroft. Incorporating LJ Hooker West Pennant Hills in 2014, they now have three high profile offices working together to achieve the best results for our clients and offer maximum exposure across these dynamic local markets.

Both Geoff and Amy belong to the LJ Hooker Captains Club, with both receiving Life Membership at the highest level of sales achievement. We have a team of professional and highly skilled 'area specialists' - agents specializing within a geographic area, whose expert advice becomes invaluable when buying or selling property.

Marketing Plan
Initially we would suggest a VIP viewing of your property with the buyers from our database. This will allow us the opportunity to speak to buyers that have finance organised that have missed out on the other property who therefore might be prepared to pay a premium.

We believe it is good practice to be realistic in our approach. We would advertise your property “For Auction” and run a 4 week campaign with your auction held onsite on the last Saturday. We will have ample feedback in relation to pricing in this period and our aim will be to get competition on the day. I don’t believe in running our properties if we know there will be no bidders and if we were in that position we would convert to a price.

The other option if one party is not keen on the auction process would be to advertise your home “For Sale “ for a maximum of 2 weeks and agree on a price range that we will quote to the market. Ideally (similar to an auction without the event) we will have competition between buyers which will result in a premium price, otherwise we will have genuine feedback with a clear idea where buyers feel your home sits and then you can put a price on your home.

It is important to quote a range at a competitive level to get strong enquiry. This does not take into account buyers who might fall in love with your home and with competition you might achieve over this price range. That’s where pricing can be a little difficult hence the need to test the market and remove pricing at the beginning of the campaign.)
